khopra trek

Khopra Danda off the beatan trail trek

The Khopra Trek is a Stunning off the Beaten path trek in the Annapurna Region. This is truly a Natural Alternative trekking route to the Popular Poon Ghorepani trek. It is tranquil, Natural, and Eye-catching views of Annapurna & Dhaulagiri Mountain Range.

The Khopra Trek in the Annapurna region is an “Off the beaten track” Destination for trekkers who love to trek with locals and enjoy Nature. It is much less frequented than the main Annapurna trekking routes and so you can enjoy the trails without the crowds. Here, the sacred Peaks of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Machhapuchare, and Mt.Dhaulagiri (8167 meters), glisten with snow year-round and tower over ancient Rhododendron forests, Icy Glaciers/Rivers, and Temperate Jungles where Leopard still roams.

The trekkers stay in village communities – sometimes in people’s homes – so there’s time for real interaction with Nepalis people. We will eat with families, visit a village weaving workshop and a cheese-making project. The high point of our trek is a visit to sacred Khayer Lake (4500 m) surrounded by shrines and with the peak of Annapurna towering above.

The Khopra trek has not been open very long and so it has so quiet environment for trekkers who would love to be in an unspoiled area. This trip will provide you also the real face of the Nepal and Nepalese lifestyle surrounded by the Annapurna mountains all around.

Safe Holiday Adventure is proud to offer this unique opportunity to you as it is a low risk of mountain sickness and the general Hiking equipment will be enough to complete this hidden area trek in Annapurna.
