Trekking in Nepal during Autumn and Spring is the best but specific Ghorepani and Poon hill trek is best in Spring season because during spring the Rhododendron flowers blossoms which are just color full as there so many different colors and also In spring weather becomes very clear every day and many chances to see wild animals cause it is dry season hence, Visiting Ghorepani poon hill trek in spring is the best time ever.

How many days are needed for the Ghorepani Poon hill trek?

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a short and easy trekking route in Nepal. This trekking route has few alternative options and 3 days up to 7 days to complete it but, the popular Ghorepani and Poon hill trekking route take 4 nights 5 days which begins from Nayapul-Thikhedunga-Ghorepani- Tadapani-Ghandruk & Pokhara. The approximate walking hour for this trek is about 4 to 7 hours a day.

Meals during Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking:

Meals during your trek are important parts of your trekking trip. The Ghorepani Poon hill trekking with safe holiday adventure is the absolute best choice for your trip in Nepal, where you get an immense opportunity to experience the many local varieties of foods continental, Nepali typical foods, Chinese, Italian, and several other popular foods.

We suggest you have fresh food during your trek because mostly the meet items meals are not always fresh and can make your Stomachaches so you should follow your guide instruction and also our guide will recommend you what is good to eat and what is not. If you are trekking on a package base than your main 3 meals, breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be included during your trek in the mountain. Most of the trekking routes are a very remote area where we can’t stick the foods so the tea house owner prefers not to order so many foods and waste it as they would like to serve in many trekkers. The transportation in the mountain is really difficult only by animals and porters so try not to waste the food. Your breakfast and Dinner usually will be at the same lodge where you stay, but your lunch will be in the middle part of the trail in the local restaurant.

Accommodation during Ghorepani Poon hill trek:

Your accommodation during this trip will be relatively better than other trekking regions in Nepal. Since few years around Ghorepani, Ghandruk area there are some beautiful building with private bathrooms and balcony but in our package we only provide tea house accommodation which is common and easy to get but on request, if you want to stay in attached bathroom accommodation we can provide but you have to add some money on top tea house accommodation charge.

The accommodation mostly basic but you will have a shared clean bathroom, washing room, and a private room with two beds on the side, comfortable mattress, and pillow. There will be pillows, bed-sheet, and mattress in your room mostly, but some tea house provides blanket on request. There are also big dining tables where all trekkers eat their dinner and there is a big iron cylinder in the middle part of the dining hall for heating as it is well fixed with chimney. They always use wood to make fire after 5 pm every day as they limited woods from the jungle. In this trekking, there is electricity to charge, but only the specific place at the corner of the dining hall because they don’t have enough power for all single rooms to charge so you can have light in your room but not charging plug.

About Drinking Water:

During this trek, you can get so many water resources every single corner along the trail, but we suggest you drink water after using Iodine/Chlorine. There are so many small restaurants, lodges, and shops along the way where you can buy mineral water, boiled water too but they are slightly expensive but safe. If you are budget travels we suggest you drink normal water with purification liquid if you are not a budget trekker then you can easily buy mineral water. We also suggest metal or thick plastic bottles just in case if you don’t get mineral water to buy you can fill it up and also there a few villages where they only sell distill Water.

Trekking Equipment

This is one of the shortest trekking routes and it has so many tea houses along the way Hence, you can get the extra blanket except very high peak season (Oct &Nov). This is a short trek, therefore, you just pack your bag as light as possible besides that in your package trek every two trekkers will have one strong porter who will carry your big bag pack. As we have rules for the Nepal tourism board there is a weight limit for porters that are 25 kg from two trekkers only, meaning each trekker allowed 12.5 kg for a porter and your extra luggage you can store in the hotel locker which is safe and free of cost. A safe holiday adventure recommends you to take only limited trekking equipment during this trip. Just pick up these following equipment that will be more than enough:

  • Normal sleeping Bag and Down jacket,
  • Normal gloves and walking sticks,
  • Basic medicine and water bottle,
  • A pair of T-shirt and paint,
  • A pair of socks and hiking boot,
  • Torchlight and charging cable for your electrical devices,
  • Sun Glass, sun cream & flip-flap.

How many hours per day do we have to walk on Ghorepani Poon hill trek?

In this trekking usually, we just walk 4 to 6 hours a day excluding lunch break, but the rate time we walk a day will depend on your pace, we let you walk on your own pace which will be a more comfortable and enjoyable trek for you. We usually begin the trek early in the morning so that we can reach our estimated destination on time,

Does your travel agency organize Domestic Flight Tickets, Hotel Reservation, and transport and guide hiring services?

Yes, we safe holiday adventure organized trekking, tour, Hotel booking, domestic flight ticket on a Low Budget, transport, and also provide the professional trekking guide for your trip to Nepal.

Ghorepani Poon hill trekking Guide & Porter Salary:

If you are hiring a guide or porter for your Ghorepani and Poon hill trekking than the cost differs on the quality of a guide and porters but in general the Ghorepani and Poon hill guide charge 25 $ a day, which is all-inclusive for a Guide you don’t have to pay extra for him except his tip After the trek and hiring a porter for one day cost you 20 $.
