There is another local name called Gangkar Ti-set for Mt. Kailash and it is focused on most travelers to the western part of Tibet. You get to see the snow cover part over 6,714 meters and the beautiful valley makes you feel paradise.

However, It no longer remains just a pilgrim destination, but Mount Kailash Tour has been famous now for a few years for any kind of travelers such as a photographer, and another nature lover who likes to face nature themselves. The thrilling trip across the dry area and the real plain valley is bounded by their Himalayas in the south part. Sandstone canyons and eroded valleys in the upper Sutlej is the result of heavy erosion in the past centuries, and that simulates a treeless moonscape.

This region abounds with wildlife, particularly after the monsoon season (July and August), herds of wild ass, Gazelle, Hodgson’s antelope, Marmot, and different species of geese that can be seen along the route.
