We start at the Garden of Dreams Gate in Thamel and walk through Jyatha Street toward Asan Bazaar, one of Kathmandu’s lively traditional markets. From Asan, we continue through Indra Chowk to Kathmandu Durbar Square, exploring historic temples, palaces, courtyards, and traditional Newari architecture. After a short visit to Durbar Square, the walk continues through local residential streets and traditional Newari neighborhoods toward Swayambhunath, the famous Monkey Temple.

After visiting Swayambhunath, we return on foot through quieter local streets, passing Hindu shrines, traditional neighborhoods, and the Bishnumati River Bridge before making our way back toward Thamel. The walking tour finishes around Thamel Nursing Chowk, giving you an easy route back to your hotel or hostel.
