Jomsom Short Trek is follows a part of Annapurna round trekking which is famous trekking route in Annapurna region. The Jomsom Short Trek starts from Kathmandu with Cultural tour around Kathmandu than we fly to Pokhara or go by bus. Pokhara is the beautiful city It is where we begin our trek. After exploring lakes and Pokhara city the next we begin our trek by private taxi till Nayapul than gradually trek to beautiful Annapurna region and paradise green lush valley.
The trekking route to Jomsom passes through traditional village, waterfalls, farming from locals and almost infertile sides of high Himalaya. The local people and their diverse Nepalese combined with the traditional culture, customs of its locals makes Jomsom Short Trek rewarding and satisfying. The heavenly path Jomsom trek goes along Kali Gandaki River, Which is world’s deepest gorge than continue walking to Muktinatha via Jomsom and kagbeni. Kagbeni is a gate way of Upper mustang trek as it is most delightful trek and also very popular walking and trekking holiday destination in Annapurna region. The Jomsom trek presents so many different experience of Himalaya regarding local tradition, culture, & many other interesting facts of local rural life.
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft), than transfer to your hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing tor around Kathmandu and trekking preparation
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft) and trek to Hille/Tikhendhunga (1,552m/5,090ft): 7hrs Drive & 3hrs trek
Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2,750m/9,020ft): 7 hrs
Day 05: Hike to Poon hill & trek to Tatopani (1,190m/3,904ft): 7 hrs
Day 06: Trek to Ghasa (2,110m/6,922ft): 6 hrs
Day 07: Trek to Marpha (2,680m/8,792ft): 4-5hours
Day 08: Trek to Kagbeni (2,810/9,218ft): 4-5 hours
Day 09: Trek to Muktinath (3,710m/12,170ft): 5-6 hours
Day 10: Trek to Jomsom (2,715m/8,910ft): 5-6 hours
Day 11: Fly back to Pokhara: 15 minutes flight.
Day 12: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
Day 13: Final Departure
DAY 1: Arrival Kathmandu Airport,
you will get private pick up services when you arrive at TIA airport Kathmandu. it is small airport and when you step out from the building there will be some guy with your name on the paper this is how we catch you at the airport. after 25 minute drive you will checked in to the hotel in Kathmandu than take your time for shower and food probably than we can meet again at your hotel to talk about the trip and introduction with your Guide.
DAY 2: City tour
Day 2nd is your kathmandu city tour whereas the temples, buddies stupa, local bazaar, local life style and many other realities of nepal that you can see while you are doing city tour. it is about 4 hours tour by private car with smart city guide who will provides you fact and informative knowledge during your touring time. over night in kathmandu.
DAY 3: Drive to pokhara city.
After your breakfsat in kathamndu hotel our guide will take you to the tourist bus park which is 15 minute walk and 5 minte drive in the morning. the bus leaves at 7 am from kantipath and stop twice before you reach pokhara city and take sbaout 7 to 8 hours drive beyound trisuli river, and scenic green hill both side of the road. when you reach in pokhara we also provide grounded transportationas per itinerary and clean and comfertable hotel in pokhara. Over night in Pokhara hotel at Gaurighat.
DAY 4: Pokhara(950 m) – Nayapul (1075 m) – Thikhedunga (1560 m)
when you are ready from pokhara hotel in the morning we will have private transport to Nayapul which is about 42 km to the west of pokhara via Naudanda and Kande.after reaching at nayapul our trekking will starts and the trails leads you on the road(off road) and valley most of the time beside that within 3 hours walking to thikhedunga you going to see many localities, their friendly behave, farming, stunning valley and mountain views. after 3 hours walking you reach at thikhedunga tea house where you will eat and sleep.
DAY 5: Trek to Ghorepani [2785 m],
Get your fresh beefsteak in the tea house than start your hike, so the first 2 hours walking going to be difficult till Ulleri village where you have to go steeply on the stone made stones and sunny area so you should start you hike as early as possible that day to pass the open area before sunshine. after Ulleri village there will be Banthati , Nangethati and Ghorepani one by one through the forest waterfalls, tranquil environment. you probably get your lunch at Nangethati after 4 hours walking from Thikhedunga than another 1.30 to 2 hours up hills to Ghorepani. Ghorepani is the best spot to explore western Himalaya range of nepal including 7th highest mountain in the world.(Dhaulagiri). You sleep at comfortable lodge.
DAY 6: Trek to Tatopani [1195m],
It is your long descending day but the view will be different than Ghorepani . way to Tatopani is a long walking day going through Shikha, Ghara and many Other small villages and beautiful terrace field. breathtaking view of Nilgiri and Dhauligiri will tease you at your every steps because they are just close and kali Gandaki vally after passing Ghara. when you reach at the bottom of the hill of Ghara than you have to cross the bridge over Kaligandaki river and walk another 30 minute on a off road along the river than you reach at Tatopani where you can have natural bath at the bank of the river. that night at Tatopani hotel
DAY 7: Trek to Ghasa [2010m],
After bathing at Tatopani you probably get much better your body and muscles this is what it happens after batt in to the pool so after taking your breakfsat your adventure to ghasa village will be start asusal but this day you going to walk in a vally most of the time through the wolrd deepest gorge dana, One of the highest waterfal (rupche chhahara) and beautiful slope green hills to the both side of your trail. after 5 hours walking along the kaligadaki river you tiring legs reach at Ghasa which beautiful samll village at the bootom of massief mountain where you going to eat your dinner and sleep.
DAY 8: Trek to Larjung [2560 m],
Ghasa to larjung is not that steep walking where you can walk on the off road now since few years so you probably need mask not to have dust all the time form vehicles but the views of Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri will be even closer especially at kalopani after 2 hours walk from Ghasa. still you going to follow the same river and tall and scenic pine forest including wide and open kaligandaki bank treats you very well for your pictures and refreshment of your mind. Larjung has quite some lodges now where you going to sleep one night.
DAY 9: Trek to Jomsom [2713m],
Walking after your breakfast to Jomsom is the best and easy part of your trek where you explore very old and peaceful caves, many birds flying around, apple garden, wheat and barley farm so there are beautiful field landscape on the side of Kaligandaki river however the rails leads you through Tukuche, marfa and Jomsom at the end where you sleep, Jomsom is a headquarter of mustang district too s well as small Airport.
DAY 10: Trek to Muktinath [3750m],
After Jomsom our trek towards Muktinath which is one of the best and popular pilgrims sites of Nepal taking a old and religious history of Buddies and Hindus. The first 2 to 3 hours goes through the kaligandaki valley which is quite windy so you may be need scarf for your neck and face. when you reach at Kagbeni after 3 hours walking you will have lunch and the trais continue up hill now for another 2 to 3 hours through some traditional old houses, high mountains and colorful farming at the side of the village. Muktinath is situated one the top of the hill where you get to see Hindu Holi temple and buddies Stupa plus the magnificent mountains view and valley touch your soul. spend you night there at Muktinath lodge.
DAY 11: Trek to Jomsom [2713m],
It is your final walking days of your entire Jomsom trek and also easy walking about 4 hours. the rails continue descends through some sheep hut and valley view to Eklebhatti than after it will be the same way back to Jomsom via Kaligandaki valley. you going to spent your final night of your trip in the mountain.
DAY 12: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara(950M).
It is early morning flight too before 12 most of the time cause of wind in the valley of Jomsom so you will take 30 minute flight to Pokhara and you will have almost whole day at Pokhara with your guide so you can go for 1 or 2 hours sight seeing trip if you are not really tired. over night in Pokhara.
DAY 13: Drive to Kathmandu(1350M).
After your hotel homework we will provide you a private transport to the bus park. after 7 to 8 hours drive you will reach in Kathmandu but the bus will give you some stop for food and toilet. it is about 200 km drive to the east of Pokhara via Prithibi highway along the Trisuli river. when you arrive in Kathmandu last bus stop than your guide will drop to your hotel.
DAY 14: Depart from Kathmandu,
You will have a private comfortable transportation to your airport journey which is only 25 to 30 minute drive from your hotel.

Can I get Nepal visa when I reach in Kathmandu airport?
There are two option to go to Nepal either by plane landing in Tribhuvan international airport or go through Sunauli boarder between Nepal and India. When you reach in Kathmandu airport you can get you visa within a few minute which is easy just fill up the form, get two p.p size photo s,passport that’s all you need than after you have to pay the visa charge which is as bellows:
1. 90 Days visa cost = 100 USD
2. 15 Days visa cost= 25 USD
3. 30 Days visa cost= 30 USD
If you go to Nepal from India boarder Sunauli you just need your passport, photo and money which I mentioned above than you will get visa. It is quite long drive but to explore better south to north of Nepal you can go to Nepal from boarder side.

About 10 years ago we had really big civil war between revel party Maoist and government but now both did peace agreement and handling government together. Which area of Kathmandu is best to stay?
There are many areas in Kathmandu where you can stay and spent your time but if you stay around Thamel area or in side Thamel you will enjoy better because there are many best restaurant, Lodges, Club, bar, local restaurant, money exchange, bank so no so you can get all kind of facilities if you stay in Thamel area or nearby.

What is the best time to go to Nepal for trekking?
Generally you can trek in Nepal all year too, but you should go to the right place mostly lower loop area trek if you are visiting Nepal in Monsoon or winter. The best time to visit Nepal is September to Dec ember and February to May. These months does not get any obstacles such as too cold, landslides, heavy rain fall etc.
What is tea house trekking? Is it safe?
Tea house trekking is common activities for trekking in Nepal now as it is easy to mange and safe compare to camping trek. Tea house trek means you will sleep in the small house, and lodges each night of your trekking. You get to experience the culture, localities, traditions and many other interesting things if you stay at tea house.
Tea house trek generally they need to get authority from Nepal government to run the tea house so we will be safe if we are staying at tea house because just in case if they behave negatively we can complain him/her straight to the government related office. But camping trek does not have this option it is all at your own risk.

Nepal is a small country but has mix inhabitant people it means there are so many different foods. So when you are in city you can have all those items and taste of the food but during the trekking you should not expect all kind of food but still tea house from the trek will serve you spaghetti, pizza, Nepali food (Thali), Momo, fried noodles, rice, chicken, buffalo item food, eat which is enough to try al different taste in different day.
