Gosaikunda trekking starts from Sundarijal, Which is north of Kathmandu about 30 minute drive than we steep up to the Sivapuri National park ridge where you can have a wide range of Langtang mountain. similarly from that ridge the trail goes towards north hill one by one than we will reach at Gosaikunda. It is holy area where many pilgrims wish to get their better fortune with lord Siva, it is such a best are to trek and experience the Tamang culture, traditions, Hindu festivals and culture so many things.

Gosaikunda Trekking is one of the finest walking Holiday trip in Nepal as it is considered to be created by Lord Siva. it is not only the religious sites of nepal it is also the place top explore high Mountains such as Langtang Region, Ganesh Himal Region and Manaslu trekking.There are many Superstitions and way of belief in local Communities, It is Hindu Holy place Where you can wish for your success , It comes true if you Pray there. Every Months Hundreds of Pilgrims used to go there as it is Holy places beside that in August each year on full moon day there is festival and other month in general the Environments will be very calm.

This trip will take you mostly in to the Forest, Narrow Trails, Vegetation of Helambu Area. There are many Oak Trees, Rhododendron Flowers, Towering Pine Trees along the way as it is very Cool and easy to walk under the Shadow. If you are visiting this area by Spring than you get to see such a Colorful forest of Flowers.

Gosaikunda is the Name of Holy Lake, Which is located at 4380 m and extending across 34 acres. Langtang Lirung and other high Mountains shadows can be seen in this Lake. During the Winter from October to June this lake will be Frozen and rest of the month will be watery again. This trekking can be extend in to Langtang Valley.

Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche (1966 m.) – 6 hrs

We Start our day quite early after we have breakfast in the hotel of Kathmandu. we will take a bus or micro bus to Dhunche from Kathmandu. it is about 6 house drive passing some village, forest and wonderful terrace field. the road is not so wide but it is dirt road with many turnings but it is safe because the driver is super experienced. we just take a bus ride this day and spent the night ta Dhunche in the Hotel. Dhunche is a mountain city with many facilities and restaurant so it is your great opportunity also to get knowledge about mountain market and the life of local people.

Day 02: Trek to Sing Gompa. 

When we weak up we will get our breakfast in the same lodge and we start early again. the trails climbs slowly up through the forest and village towards massif mountain. there are many turnings of way but is really scenic and beautiful natural view around including the magnificent valley to the back side. it is 5 hours walk about to Sing Gompa where we will sleep one night in local tea house.

Day 03: Trek to Gosaikunda (4380m.) via Lauribinayak La (3920 m.) – 5 hrs walking

It is our best walking day to explore the popular lake Gosaikunda which is situated to the top of mountain. there will be many local pilgrims along the way because it is religious sites for Hindu people as well beside tourism. We begin to walk in the morning after We have some food. the walking route takes us steeply up through the forest and small trails beside that the majestic view will be seen around especially Langtang and Ganesh Himla. over night i Gosaikunda tea house.

Day 04: Trek to Lauribinayak Pass (4610m.) than walk to Ghopte (3430m.)

After we have wonderful morning view form Gosaikunda and historical lake we begin our journey again like other day . we go back to LauriBinayak again via same way than walk down hill through small trail and terrace field. it is another nice and easy day because we will walk mostly down hill . the Unbelievable views of snow camp mountains will be very close and teasing you each of your steps back to Lauribinayak and Gopte village. Ghope is a small village has few local lodges for travelers where we will spent the night.

Day 05: Trek to Kutumsang (2446m), -5 hrs walk

It is our another great day to explore the country side life of nepal and chnace of intimacy to the nature. we start our day walk in the morning again and descending slowly to Kutumsang which is beautiful Tamanag village of Helambu area. We walk through the forest these day mostly as well as millet and corn field. the landscapes of this area is just incredible and resourceful. we spent the night at Kutumsang.

Day 06: Trek to Chisopani (2150 m)- 5 hrs

Trekking to Chisapni is a lovely walk to see the local life and farming, it is an open area where we can have stunning view of Langtang range, valley and other many high mountains over 5000 m. the first 3 hours we walk down hill through the terrace field of millet and corn than we have to walk steep up to Chisapani. Chisapani is a popular hiking destination for most of the travelers and local tourist too because It is close from the city where we can drive too. We can see magnificent views of all mountains in the morning from here.

Day 07: Trek to Sundarijal and drive to Kathmandu.

We can start quite late this day because we can have breakfast with view of all mountain range . It is our last walking day in the mountain and it is just 3 hours easy walking day.  we begin to walk after breakfast following the descending trail in to the forest towards Mulkharaka which is lovely Tamang village than continue descending on a stone steps to Sundarijal ,It is where we will get our transport as per itinerary than drive to Kathmandu hotel.

Can I get Nepal visa when I reach in Kathmandu airport?

There are two option to go to Nepal either by plane landing in Tribhuvan international airport or go through Sunauli boarder between Nepal and India. When you reach in Kathmandu airport you can get you visa within a few minute which is easy just fill up the form, get two p.p size photo s,passport that’s all you need than after you have to pay the visa charge which is as bellows:

1. 90 Days visa cost = 100 USD
2. 15 Days visa cost= 25 USD 
3. 30 Days visa cost= 30 USD

If you go to Nepal from India boarder Sunauli you just need your passport, photo and money which I mentioned above than you will get visa. It is quite long drive but to explore better south to north of Nepal you can go to Nepal from boarder side.

What is the best time to go to Nepal for trekking?

Generally you can trek in Nepal all year too, but you should go to the right place mostly lower loop area trek if you are visiting Nepal in Monsoon or winter. The best time to visit Nepal is September to Dec ember and February to May. These months does not get any obstacles such as too cold, landslides, heavy rain fall etc.

What is tea house trekking? Is it safe?

Tea house trekking is common activities for trekking in Nepal now as it is easy to mange and safe compare to camping trek. Tea house trek means you will sleep in the small house, and lodges each night of your trekking. You get to experience the culture, localities, traditions and many other interesting things if you stay at tea house.

Tea house trek generally they need to get authority from Nepal government to run the tea house so we will be safe if we are staying at tea house because just in case if they behave negatively we can complain him/her straight to the government related office. But camping trek does not have this option it is all at your own risk.

What kind of food can I get in Nepal?

Nepal is a small country but has mix inhabitant people it means there are so many different foods. Generally we serve all kind of food I city such as Indian, Nepali, continental, Italia, western and Tibetan. So when you are in city you can have all those items and taste of the food but during the trekking you should not expect all kind of food but still tea house from the trek will serve you spaghetti, pizza, Nepali food (Thali), Momo, fried noodles, rice, chicken, buffalo item food, eat which is enough to try al different taste in different day.
