  • Ganesh Himal (7,600 m)
  • Langtang-II (7,227 m)

However, once on this trek, the snow-capped Himalayan ranges are not falling short either. Some of those Mountains are:

  • Tserko Ri (5033 m)
  • Kyanjin RI, Ganchhenpo (6388 m)
  • Dorje Lakpa (6990 m) and
  • Laure Binayak pass (4,609 m).

If you think, that is all the Langtang Valley trek has to offer; you are mistaken. From here you can see the unique rice terraces as well as historical monasteries all along the way.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1,350 m/4,428 ft)

Day 02: Kathmandu: sightseeing and trek preparation

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550 m/5,100 ft): 7-8 hours)

Day 04: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,380 m/7,830 ft): 6 hours

Day 05: Trek to Mundu (3543 m/11,621 ft) via Langtang village: 6-7 hours

Day 06: Mundu to Kyangjin Gompa (3,870 m/12,697 ft): 4-5 hours

Day 07: Acclimatization- Explore Tserko Ri (5,000 m/16,404 ft) 7-8 hours

Day 08: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel: 6-7 hours

Day 09: Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi: 4-5 hours

Day 10: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu.

Day 11: Final departure

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

We will give you a pick-up service when you arrive at Kathmandu Airport. There will be our airport representative to pick up you with your name then he will drop you at your hotel and trek briefing.

Day 02: Kathmandu: sightseeing and trek preparation

Today we will explore Kathmandu city and city life. After breakfast, we start a guided city tour of several historical, cultural, and religious sites which are all close to each other. Some of the popular places in Kathmandu valley are considered UNESCO world heritage sites. The major attractions are Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar square, Swambhunath Stupa, and Bauddhanath stupa ( it is the largest Stupa in the world). The city tour will be about 4 hours then we will be back to the hotel by private transport then we have to check again all our trekking gear and trek preparation. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,100ft): 7-8 hours)

This day we leave Kathmandu in the morning. It is quite a long drive and also will be many zigzag trails but you will see so many natural attractions, rural life, and their farming, mountains, valley view, rivers, waterfalls, so no. today we don’t walk we just stay at Syaprubesi which is a trade center of upper parts of Langtang villagers and also it is trek starting and ending point. We will spend one night at the Hotel.

Day 04: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,380m/7,830ft): 6 hours

Today we begin our walk after we have breakfast in Syaprubesi hotel. We will begin to walk along Langtang Khola(stream) and continue to descend through Rhododendron and the oak forest. when we pass the bridge over Langtang Khola we ascend steeply up on stone-made steps through Bamboo and unbelievable bees hive on the massif rock, bamboo and stream then we reach Lama Hotel we will spend one there in the Lodge.

Day 05: Trek to Mundu (3543m/11,621ft) via Langtang village: 6-7 hours

We will have a warm and fresh breakfast in the morning at the same lodge where we slept then we continue Ascend from lama hotel through the towering pine trees and a green lush valley. After passing the forest we will reach a pleasant small area Ghoda table where we can stop for tea or lunch it’s upon your hungry. The white snowy peaks will be easily seen from Ghoda Tabela. The walking route will be still ascending after Ghoda Tabela too through widening valley, some small huts, and settlements, Buddhist mani walls, Buddhist monastery before we reach Langtang Village which was completely destroyed from the earthquake dated April 2015. The easy walking trails lead to Mundu after Langtang village. Overnight stay in the local lodge at Mundu.

Day 06: Mundu to Kyangjin Gompa (3,870m/12,697ft): 4-5 hours

This is one of the best days today after we weak up we can see so many high peaks including, Langtang Lirungm, Langtang Himal, and many other mountains, it is the pleasant day after breakfast we begin your daily journey to Kyangjin Gompa where will spend the night and it is the popular settlement of this trip. The trail goes along the valley and we pass water Mills, Prayers wheels, Buddhist Chortens, and also we will pass the largest mani wall of Nepal. It is a religious mantra written by prayers on the stones. It is a short walking day; we just walk about 2.30 minutes to 3 hours before we reach Kyangjin Gompa. After we have rooms and food there at noon we can walk around and enjoy the Langtang Range Mountains.

Day 07: Acclimatization- Explore Tserko Ri (5000m/16,404ft) 7-8 hours

This day we begin to walk quite early because we have a plan to see a wonderful sunrise view from Tserko RI. We will spend about 6 to 7 hours exploring the mountains, valley view, and stunning Glacier. we have to follow the small trail steeply up to Tserko Ri along the yak pastures. We will be back late afternoon to Gyangjin Gompa then we can explore the historical lovely monastery, Himalayan Glaciers, and colorful birds. We spent that night again in the same lodge and same place.

Day 08: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel: 6-7 hours

We start our walking journey after breakfast again and retrace our steps all the way to the lama hotel. The walking route will be the same and we descend a lot today but some part of the day will be flat too through the towering trees, Tamang village, and beautiful Valley. Overnight stay in Lama Hotel.

Day 09: Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi: 4-5 hours

Today mostly we descend to Syaprubesi through the forest and along the Langtang Khola, it is actually the same trail as we took way up so we retrace our steps to Syaprubesi. It is easy to walk than we reach Syaprubesi where we will spend a night.

Day 10: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu.

It is the last day of this trip and taking a bus/jeep back to Kathmandu via the same road. We will get our transport in the morning than at noon we will be already in Kathmandu. So the rest of the day after reach at Kathmandu you can spend your last minutes time souvenir shopping with your friends, family, and relatives. Overnight at Kathmandu Hotel

Day 11: Final departure

Can I get a Nepal visa when I reach Kathmandu airport?

There is two option to go to Nepal either by plane landing in Tribhuvan international airport or go through Sunauli border between Nepal and India. When you reach Kathmandu Airport you can get your visa within a few minutes which is easy just fill-up the form, get two p.p size Photos, a passport that’s all you need then after you have to pay the visa charge which is as bellows:

1. 90 Days visa cost = 100 USD
2. 15 Days visa cost= 25 USD 
3. 30 Days visa cost= 30 USD

If you go to Nepal from India border Sunauli you just need your Passport, Photo, and money which I mentioned above then you will get Visa. It is a quite long drive but to explore better south to north of Nepal you can go to Nepal from the border side.

Tea House Trekking is a common activity for trekking in Nepal now as it is easy to manage and Safe compare to a camping trek. Teahouse trek means you will sleep in the small house, and lodges each night of your trekking.
