The Ghorepani trekking can be 4 night and 5 days in a length but since few years because of road constructions as per you time and budget you can customize the itinerary but you are highly recommended to follow popular itinerary that will gives you wonderful chance to explore the real facts of countryside life and living.

This trek begins after your 1 hour drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. We than follow the Modi river valley, passing Birethanti village, check post, and other small local villages. It is easy walk on first day but relatively a warm day.   There are many tea houses and local restaurants along the trekking route where we can stop for food and sleep. Furthermore, we follow the itinerary day to day and enjoy the cultural and natural beauties from all different angels. The Poon hill view point is a most popular view point in Annapurna region to observe the up close view of entire Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain range, particularly Mt. Dhaulahiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna south, Macchapuchhre(fish tail) and Hiuchuli are just eye catching views.

Ghorepani trekking is an easy 5-day walk with 4 nights, stay over in a tea house type accommodation, with local cuisine and hospitality. This trek is available as a full board package. This means you are traveling within a fixed group to a price of USD 420 per person. This package includes all travel expenses such as overnight stays, food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), tourist standard bus and local grounded trans portion.

This holiday package is available from September – December, and February to June is the best but apart all year you can make this trip. The walking time each day are between 4 to 7 hours with the destination of Poon Hill (3210 meters). During the day there will be time for sightseeing. One of the main attractions is the fabulous view of Dhaulagiri (8167 meters), and Annapurna mountain ranges along the way. Without exaggerating, we can promise you, there will never be a dull moment. Ghorepani trekking Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1,300 m/4,264 ft)

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (823 m/2,700 ft)-7 hrs

Day 03: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul than trek to Ulleri (2050 m/6725 ft): 1.30 hrs drive & 6 hours walk

Day 04: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,750 m/9,020 ft): 4 – 5 hours trek

Day 05: Hike to Poon hill & Trek to Tadapani (2,700 m/8,860 ft) 6 – 7 hours

Day 06: Trek from Tadapani to Syauli Bazaar(1200) via Ghandruk (1940 m/6360 ft): 4- 5 hrs walk

Day 07: Trek from Syauli Bazaar to Nayapul than drive to Pokhara: 1 hours trek and 1:3 hrs drive

Day 08: Drive back to Kathmandu.

Permit for Ghorepani trekking:

There are two different types of trekking permit for Ghorepani trekking:

Annapurna conservation area entrance permit( ACAP): During Ghorepani trek you should make ACAP permit to embark in to Conservation Area. It cost 30 USD per person where ever you trek around Annapurna Region.

Noted that anyone below 10 years age is not compulsory to make permit.

TIMS( Trekking information managements system): Tims card is another entrance trekking permit of Gorepani trekking and cost 10 USD per person.

If you are trekking in to the restricted area such as Dolpo, Upper Mustang and Manaslu.

Accommodation during Ghorepani trekking:

The cost of accommodation during Ghorepani trekking is relatively very cheap but it is vary with different treks and seasons. In this trekking there are plenty of lodges not to stay so that tents are not required to sleep.

The Ghorepani trekking is much better now because there are some luxury lodges provides inside bathroom, hot water, Wi-Fi/internet, bakery, coffee shop, book store, goods store etc.

However, in this trekking all tea house offers two different beds in one room with clean bed sheets, pillows and comfortable mattress.  The accommodation cost about 5 US to 10 US per room per night.

Drink and meal during Ghorepani trekking:

In this trek drinks and meals are easily available in the lodge. You can have various items of food in each and every lodge mostly continental, Indian, Nepali, Tibetan and local foods.

The meals in this trekking will be served by tea house and lodge which is fresh, hygienic and home cooked likewise, each and every different settlement got different price of food.

Also in this beautiful trek drinks are easily available on various choices, for example Milk tea, black tea, lemon tea, green tea, ginger tea, coffee, purified jar water, choices of juice (can), and Alcoholic drink.

The cost of food in the mountain is about 3 to 10 US, Similarly the cost of drinks will be different as per your choices.

There are various factors for the price of Ghorepani trekking. As per your desire, time and Budget you can decrease or decrease the price of trek, however mainly the travel agency you are trekking with, Standard of hotel in City, number of guide and porter trekking region and size of group for the trekking will determine the price of trek.
