My Best hiking Experience in Nepal
I recently had the pleasure of embarking on an incredible trek with Safe Holiday Adventure Pvt. Ltd., and I can’t praise them enough for their exceptional service. From the moment we landed in Kathmandu, the team was there to take care of every detail. Our guide, Dukpa, and porter, Hariu from Lukla, were outstanding. They guided us seamlessly from Kathmandu all the way to the Thorong La Pass and back to Kathmandu, ensuring our journey was as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
The weather was perfect throughout our trek, which only added to the experience. We were provided with private rooms and fresh food, and we never felt any pressure to walk beyond our comfort level. The small group size made the trek even more enjoyable, allowing for personalized attention and a more intimate experience.
A special thank you to Mr. Gauli for his excellent management and the helpfulness of our guide and porter. This was undoubtedly one of the best treks we’ve ever had, and we are already thinking about returning in a few years for the Everest Base Camp trek. Thank you, Safe Holiday Adventure Team, for making this journey unforgettable. Best of luck with your business!

Trekking Duration and Daily Progress
Over six days, trekkers complete the core section of the Annapurna Circuit. The hike includes five days of walking and one day of driving. Each trekking day lasts around 5 to 7 hours, depending on your pace and the weather. Despite the short schedule, it includes all the key highlights and landscapes of the region.
How High You Will Go – Altitude Facts
One of the major features of this trek is the high-altitude terrain. The trail climbs steadily from Chame to the top of Thorong La Pass, which is 5,416 meters (17,769 feet) above sea level. While the views are amazing, this high elevation can be challenging. It’s important to acclimate well, stay hydrated, and avoid rushing.
Where You Will Sleep – Accommodation on the Trek
During the trek, you’ll sleep in teahouses—simple mountain lodges run by local families. They offer basic facilities like a bed, a blanket, and a shared toilet. Most teahouses have a cozy dining hall with a fire in the evening. Hot food and warm drinks are available, but it’s best to bring a sleeping bag, especially for cold nights.
Physical Fitness and Preparation
Although this is a shorter trek, it still demands good physical condition. The route includes long climbs, rocky trails, and high passes. Trekkers should be comfortable walking for several hours a day. Some basic training or hiking experience helps, but even beginners can complete it with the right mindset and a slow, steady pace.
Permits You’ll Need for the Trek
For the 6-Day Annapurna Circuit Short Trek, only one permit is required: the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP). This official document allows you to enter the protected Annapurna region and helps support environmental conservation, local communities, and trail maintenance.
At Safe Holiday Adventure Pvt. Ltd., we make the permit process completely hassle-free. Once you book your trek with us, our team will handle all the paperwork and secure the ACAP permit on your behalf—no stress, no delays.
We ensure you’re fully prepared and compliant with the latest trekking regulations, so you can focus on enjoying the breathtaking landscapes and mountain culture. Our experienced staff will also remind you to keep your permit handy, as you’ll need to show it at several checkpoints along the trail.
Trek with confidence, knowing that everything is taken care of professionally and efficiently—that’s the Safe Holiday Adventure promise.
When Is the Best Time to Go?
The ideal seasons for this trek are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). These months offer clear skies, stable weather, and excellent mountain views. Winter is also possible, but snow at Thorong La can make the crossing risky. During monsoon (June to August), the trails can be slippery with limited visibility.
Why Hire a Guide or Porter?
While it’s possible to trek without a guide, having one makes the journey safer and more enjoyable. A local guide shares cultural insights, helps you communicate, and assists if you feel unwell. Porters can carry your heavy bag, letting you walk freely and enjoy the views. Many trekkers find the company of guides and porters adds warmth and local connection to their trek.
