Nature and Wildlife

Natural habitats and environments in Nepal

Nepal is a country with a diverse range of natural environments, from the high Himalayan peaks to the lush forests and fertile valleys of the Terai region. The country is home to an array of wildlife, including rare and endangered species such as the Bengal tiger, the one-horned rhinoceros, and the Asian elephant.

One of the best places to experience nature and wildlife in Nepal is in the country’s national parks and protected areas. These include the Chitwan National Park, which is home to a variety of wildlife including rhinos, tigers, and elephants, and the Sagarmatha National Park, which is home to the highest peak in the world, Mount Everest, as well as other iconic mountains such as Lhotse and Nuptse.

In addition to national parks, Nepal is also home to a number of conservation areas and protected forests, which offer opportunities for activities such as nature walks, birdwatching, and jungle safaris. These areas are also home to a wide range of flora and fauna and offer a glimpse into the country’s diverse natural environments.

Whether you’re interested in exploring the high Himalayan peaks or experiencing the wildlife and natural beauty of the country’s protected areas, Nepal has something to offer nature enthusiasts of all kinds.
