Poon hill view point- 3,210 m
The Poon Hill(Pun Hill) mountain view station is probably one of the most visited and short hiking destinations in Nepal. It is located in the Massif Annapurna region in the west north of Kathmandu. It is also a popular viewpoint to enjoy the magical sunrise over Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountain range. The most popular peaks such as Dhaulagiri-8167 m, Annapurna south-7219 m, Fishtail- 6993 m, Nilgiri, and many other mighty peaks are very close to Poon hill.
Recently, in Annapurna, there is a popular trail of the trek that has been opened called Mardi Himal trek, so as an alternative option, you can hike to the Mardi Himal route.
Sarangkot view Point- 1,600 m
Sarangkot is the name of the massif hill station in the west north of Pokhara. It is another most popular hiking destination and viewpoint in Nepal. If you are there to enjoy the sunrise view over the Himalayas then you are highly suggested to visit early in the morning. you can take a taxi/car from Pokhara to Sarangkot as it is a short drive of about 35 minutes or the option second you can spend overnight in Sarangkot than early morning you just hike 10 minutes from your hotel.
If you are short on time and really curious about the view of the giant Himalayan range tan Sarankot viewpoint will be your best spot, where there are more than 10 snow cap mountain views, lakes view, valley view and so many rolling green hills in the south. however, Sarangkot is a popular viewpoint to have up-close views of mighty peaks and also very close from Pokhara.
Kalapattar view point (5,550 m):
Kalapathar is another best viewpoint in the Everest region of Nepal. it is Nepal’s highest viewpoint situated near the massif Mt. Pumori and Everest base camp. The Kalapathar is just on the front side of the world’s tallest peak -Mt. Everest-8848 m, which means to see the great whole shape of Mt. Everest, Kalapthar is only one viewpoint in the Everest region.

Gokyo Ri viewpoint ( 5,357 m)
The Gokyo Ri is the name of another lovely spot to have beautiful views of the Himalayas and it is located in the west of Everest base camp. it also lies in the Everest region. Gokyo is the name of another trekking route in the Everest region with its beauty of blue Crystal clear lakes, landscapes, glaciers, and towering tall Gokyo Ri viewpoint.
The walking distance from your lodge at Gokyo to Gokyo RI is relatively longer than other view stations but the view of the entire Everest region from where you can see wonderful mountain view including the view of Mt. Everest, Cho-Oyu, Mt. Makalu, and other so many snow cap mountains.

T-serko- Ri view point- 5,033 m
Tserko-Ri is standing at the elevation of 5,033 m/16,500, located in the North East of Nepal. It is the best spot in Langtang valley trek to have a great view of the Langtang Mountain range. Langtang trekking is the nearest adventure trekking route from Kathmandu and takes 6 to 7 days to complete. During your trip to Langtang, it is also the highest point, which offers a 360-degree view of the Langtang mountain range and valley.
Nagarkot view point- 2,195 m
Nagarkot is another short and popular hiking destination in Nepal, which is located only about 32 km From Kathmandu. Nagarkot is the perfect place to see the entire Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Everest Mountain range, especially those who are short on time and don’t have a long time for trekking than Nagarkot will be your best choice.
There are mainly two choices either you can hike for 2 to 3 days, spent overnight and back to Kathmandu or you just go to Nagarkot straight by Car/Taxi enjoy the lovely view, and back to Kathmandu. if you take Taxi/Car both way from/to Kathmandu it takes about 4 hours only. If you are in Kathmandu but don’t know where to go for few hours then Nagarkot viewpoint will be the best spot to spend your beautiful time before leaving Nepal.
