Traditional clothing is also an important part of Nepalese culture, with women often wearing colorful saris and men wearing the daura suruwal. Nepal’s predominant religion is Hinduism, but Buddhism also has a strong presence. Students can learn about the role that religion plays in Nepalese society, including the various temples and pilgrimage sites that dot the country. Nepalese art, music, and dance are also worth exploring, as they offer insight into the country’s rich artistic heritage.

Meals in Kathmandu  & Pokhara

When you arrive in Nepal, we’ll make sure you’re taken care of with food and essentials, as it’s important. For meals, you can choose between vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Vegetarian meals include seasonal vegetable curry, rice, lentil soup, spinach, pickle, salad, fried noodles, and macaroni pasta. Non-vegetarian options include chicken curry. The vegetable dishes vary each day, so you’ll get to try different ones during your Kathmandu and Pokhara tour.

Since student tours involve groups of students, teachers, and staff, individual orders can’t be accommodated due to time constraints and the impact on tour schedules. To ensure a smooth experience, we pre-arrange lunch and dinner according to company rules.

Accommodation – In Kathmandu & Mountain

Kathmandu offers a wide range of accommodation options for travelers. These include luxury hotels, budget guesthouses, and hostels. Luxury hotels offer amenities such as air conditioning, private bathrooms, and 24-hour room service, while budget guesthouses and hostels provide basic accommodation at more affordable prices.

When it comes to mountain accommodation, the trekkers will be staying in tea houses or lodges. These are simple, locally-run guesthouses that provide basic accommodation, meals, and sometimes hot showers. The rooms are usually shared with other trekkers and have twin beds, blankets, and sometimes a small heater. The trekkers can also opt for camping treks, where they will be camping in tents during the trek. The camping equipment such as tents, sleeping bags, and mattresses will be provided by the trekking company.

It is important to note that the accommodation in the mountain might not be as comfortable as in Kathmandu. The facilities will be basic and the trekkers need to be prepared for that. The most important thing is to have a good guide and a good trekking company who will take care of the accommodation arrangements.

Hot showers, Wi-Fi, and battery charging

Hot showers, Wi-Fi, and battery charging may be limited during the Annapurna trek.

Hot showers: Some teahouses and lodges on the trek may have hot shower facilities, but they may not be available at all locations and may come at an additional cost. It is best to check with your trekking company or guide for more information on the availability of hot showers along the trail.

Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi is not widely available on the Annapurna trek. Some teahouses and lodges may have wifi, but the connection may be weak and unreliable. It is best to check with your trekking company or guide for more information on the availability of wifi along the trail.

Battery charging: Some teahouses and lodges on the trek may have facilities for charging electronic devices such as phones and cameras, but they may not be available at all locations and may come at an additional cost. It is best to check with your trekking company or guide for more information on the availability of battery charging facilities along the trail.

It’s important to note that the Annapurna trek is a remote area and the basic facilities may not be as good as in the city. It’s recommended to carry a power bank and carry an extra battery for your electronic devices. It’s also recommended to disconnect and enjoy the trek, instead of relying on technology.

Similarly, Hinduism is deeply ingrained in Nepali culture and tradition, and students can explore the many temples, shrines, and holy sites dedicated to Hindu deities such as Shiva and Vishnu.
