The Low Cost Everest Base Camp Trek is a  popular trekking begins with a sweeping short flight to Lukla the gateway to Everest region in Sagarmatha National Park. The trek then weaves through Sherpa villages towards the famous Sherpa capital, Namche Bazaar. This has modern facilities of internet cafes, banks, shops, stores, bakeries and lodges. Safe Holiday Adventure has designed this trek to Classic Everest base camp trek 2017 safely so that one gets acclimatized before heading higher zones leaving the tree lines for arid, barren mountainous country. Along your journey you will be able to enjoy the Khumbu Region(Gokyo valley, island peak valley & Thame) experience the Culture of the famous Sherpa people and view Mt. Everest.

Namche Bazaar is our first resting place, crucial for acclimatizing. From here a short walk takes you to the top of the army camp with an amazing viewpoint of Mt Everest and the surrounding mountains. For some people this is enough, however, if you are able, the trek onward to the majestic monastery at Tengboche is well worth the effort. The Mani Rimdu festival takes place at the end of September/beginning of October. Here the locals gather at the monastery to receive a pleasing from the monks and celebrations occur in the streets. From here we continue our climb with views of mountains broken up by deep gorges and glacial valleys. Vegetation includes pine and hemlock forests at lower altitudes, fir, Juniper, birch and as you ascend Rhododendron woods and  alpine plant communities. The famed bloom of Rhododendrons occurs during spring (April and May). Wild animals most likely to be seen in the park are the Himalayan Thar, Goral, Serow and Musk Deer. The snow leopard and Himalayan black bear are present but rarely sighted, other mammals rarely seen are the weasel, marten, Himalayan mouse hare (Pika), and jackal and Langoor Monkey. After Pangbuche the tree lines will be finished than we reach at Dingbuche where you can see two trails , one for EBC trek and another for Island peak, as it is popular climbing peak in Everest region.

Ghorekshep is our final camp before Low Cost Everest Base Camp Trek, there are two options (depending on the weather) after lunch you can visit Everest Base Camp (non-climbers are not able to stay here) or if you wish to extend your adventure you can rise early and climb Kalapathar (5550 m) for paradise Sunrise or equally climb it in the evening for a spectacular Sunset as it is more popular and beautiful than Sunrise.

DAY 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1350m).

On time when you arrive at Kathmandu TIA airport we will provide you a pick up service. After you visa process when you are out from the main building there will many people with many names where you should check your name there will be our team members waiting for you. Once you receive our member than he will drop you to the hotel which is about 30 minute drive this evening when you had your time we prefer to meet you by evening time  to give the trekking tips to maku assured for everything. Over night in Kathmandu hotel.

DAY 02:  Fly to Lukla airport than walk to Phakding (2660 mtr).03 hrs

It is early weak up day because you going to fly to Lukla in the morning you might not have enough time to get your breakfast at Kathmandu hotel cause of time so once you reach at Lukla you can have your breakfast repack your bags and trek to Phakding. It is easy day gradually towards Phakding passing after some Sherpa villages, suspension bridges, forest and potato and vegetable fields. When you reach there you will get you dinner and food at same lodge which is the rules of that area. Overnight at tea house.

DAY 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,450 mtr) – 06 hrs.

Once you finish your hot and tasty breakfast we start to walk again in the morning to Namche bazaar. The first 3 hours you going to walk over the river on a bridge, pine forest, river, waterfalls, Sherpa tiny village and Shrepa farming field till you reach at Monjo check point where you have to show your permit and TIMS card and recently you going to have your Lunch at Jorsalle. After Lunch the trail climbs towards Namche passing through some high suspension bridges , forest and rivers than climbing up to Namche which is one of the best settlement of khumbu Everest trekking where you sleep that day.

DAY 04: Acclimatization and excursion Around Namche.

You can sleep late morning this day than you can have your breakfast at the lodge and be refresh to be ready for sight walking to see Sagarmatha national park Museum, Sherpa Museum , monasteries and stunning snow cap mountain view from Army camp at the top of Namche Bazaar.

DAY 05: Trek to Tengboche (3,880 m) – 05 hrs.

After spending two night at Namche your body used to walk to the high altitude area which helps you to walk a lot to go to Tyagbuche. The first bit about 10 minute steeply walk take to the top of Namche village than the trails will be like road which is wide and easy flat walking till Kyanjuma than walk to Funki Thanga through pine forest and downhill walk. You can have some food there at Funki Thanga than you going to climb another big hill till Tyangbuche through forest and dry rocky path than you are at Tyangbuche you going to spent that night at lodge and don’t forget to see the magnificent sunset view over Everest and Lotse.
DAY 06: Trek to Dingboche (4,360 mtr) – 05 hrs.

From Tyangbuche early morning you will have unbelievable Everest range and the valley view to the west. Your walk will starts again through small forest for 20 minute downhill to Debuche than continue goes gradually till the river. After passing the wooden made bridge you going to climb gently to  Pangbuche  Sherpa residency area, which is about 4000 m high so you can stop there for your break and cup of hot tea helps you walk better for further steps to Somare which is easy walking. After Somare you don’t see any tress just small bushes and massif Mountain View and folding rocks. After 2 hours walk slowly from Somare you will reach at Dingbuche village where you all going to sleep.

DAY 07: Rest day for acclimatization.

You can weak up on your own time because this day there is not many things to do only about 1 hours climb to the Nagarjun hill behind your hotel, generally people’s used to go to the Nagarjun hill to acclimatize but you can see such a wonderful valley, rivers , and close view of all mountains especially Ama Dablam. After that hike you have your won time drink lots of water and sleep at same lodge.

DAY 08: Trek to Lobuche  (4,940 m) – 05 hrs.

It is your adventure day but after two night rest at Dingbuche you will be fine to climb another 600 meter higher than Dingbuche. You just need to walk slow and drink a lot and also don’t miss to get a giant mountains and valleys pictures which are just there on the side of your path. After passing Dhukla and memorial hills the trails take you to  Lobuche which is nearly 5000 m and it is small area and few tea house. Overnight at tea house.

DAY 09: Trek to Gorakshep (5,180 m) and Everest Base Camp(5,364 m) and return to Gorakshep – 06 hrs.

Day 9 is your hardest day and longest day to walk over 5000 m high path but the view glacier, Everest icefall, and 360 gegree view inspire you to walk towards base camp. Lobuche to Gorakshep is just 3 hours walk about half of trails is just flat and half of it going to be really rocky path but gradule. After erachjing at Gorakshep hotel you have to order your quick lunch get your room and you going to Everest base camp without your big bags, it si about 4 hours walk to and back from Gorakshep. When you step at Everest base camp you forget all your pain you did and you will have some tears on your eyes after doing such a lovely trek and your successes than back to Goraksghep.

DAY 10: Hike to Kalapathar (5,545 m) trek to Pheriche (4, 245 mtr) – 05 hrs.

Early morning walk about 1.30 minute take you to the top of kalapther which is steeply up and really high but once you are there you can see whole shape of Everest, Khumbu Glacier, ice fall, Mt. Pumori base camp and many other poping up mountains even you can’t count , it is one of the finest an popular view point of Nepal.way back from kalapather you just need about 25 minute decent to the hotel than get your breakfast and extra bill if you have than walk back to Pheriche via Lobuche and Dhukla. Pheriche will be your place to sleep this day.

DAY 11: Trek to Namche bazaar (3450 mtr) – 06 hrs.

It is easy walking day and your mind is already towards Namche to get shower and great foods. After 6 hours walk via same way that you took way up you reach at Namche which is dense Sherpa settlements area. Sleep over night there.

DAY 12: Trek to Lukla (2840 mtr) – 05 hrs.

It is your final walking day in the high altitude area trek of khumbu as you walked up to Namche is the same way you going to walk for 7 hours than you will be back at Lukla where you can have your great night with your field staff and make them also happy with tip as you were happy during this trek. Over night at Lukla.

DAY 13: Fly back to Kathmandu(1350m).

You going to fly early morning before 12 maximum late if there is not so good weather, it is about 30 minute fly than reach at Kathmandu after you will get a private transport to your hotel.

DAY 15: leisure day in Kathmandu.

This day you can explore local market area, and also Thamle area where you can find so many souvenir to your family and friends and rest of the time you can enjoy in Nepali authentic cousin. Overnight in Kathmandu.

DAY 16: Departure day

As we have rules and respect to our clients you will get drop service from your hotel to the airport on time.

Important Note:

Flight delay or cancellation At Lukla.

The Lukla flight is not a common problem but there is a problem some time if you are doing Everest region trek such as EBC trek, Gokyo trek. Cholapass, Highpass, so no. the unexpected weather might affect the flight very quick as it is located at the bottom of Massif Mountain and need to fly through the valley. So we always suggest you to have one or two extra night in Kathmandu just in case if flights delay or cancelled. Just incase if you can’t fly in to Lukla from Kathmandu we mange your city tour by foot around where is possible. if there is flight delay or cancellation we organize Heli service too. The helicopter charge can arrange from 3200 USD to 3500 USD and helicopter lift about 4 to 5 people from and to Lukla.

Can I get visa when I reach in Kathmandu TIA airport?

It is very easy to get visa when you arrive in Kathmandu international Airport. Beside few countries most of the people from all different countries can get visa. If you are staying in Nepal for 15 days you have to pay 25$ and a month stay cost 30$ and cost 100$ for 90 Days tourist visa. Don’t forget to get 2 passport size photograph with you for visa.

What season is the best or month to visit Nepal?
We have so many different area trekking and tour where still we trek in monsoon and winter but the best season is spring and Autumn.

Can a trek in Nepal?

Here we have so many different trekking route and tours, which is categorized in little option such as easy, moderate, adventure and challenging. So, if you are not that fir you can trek till 3000 m takes 5 days, similarly 3000 to 4000 m high altitude trekking can be good for simply fit visitors and more than high path trek you need some training and need to fit. On a request we can customize the trekking itinerary but in general we have to walk about 3 hours to 6 hours a day.

What kind of accommodation I will get in the mountain?

The accommodations in the mountain are very good than you are expecting now because now a days there so many new modern buildings if you are doing lower loop trek below 3000m, but if you trek over 3000m high are you will get clean and net private room which h is made by wood in general and also in a lower loop area trek you can get bathroom inside your private room but trekking over 3000m high you can’t get bathroom in your private room. Hardly may you find some places in this case.

What short of path we going to walk in the mountain?

It depends at what area you are trekking but in general Annapurna, Langtang has similar landscapes and trails which is stone made steeps and green around walking path but in the case of Everest and upper mustang area the trails are dusty, dry sand and very few trees around. If there is steps on trail that helps to you to walk better.

What kind of food can I have during the trek?

While you are in Kathmandu and Pokhara obviously you can have all kind of food on a choice but during your trek in the mountain you can get, Pasta, Momo (dumpling food), Rice, pancake, Apple pie, Nepali foods. But in general they every tea house have menu and they serve you western foods, nepali foods, continental and Indian food. Just to tell that only if you are trekking in newly opened area trek or really high area you might not get all kind of food so we should ask what they have some time in high season.

Is it compulsory to have guide in Nepal?

Actually to have a guide with you is not a compulsory till now as we go though the rules of Nepal tourism board but there are so many biodiversity , culture, traditions and localities so your trip will be meaningful if you have a guide and especially for the route where you going to walk you need guide and at risky area also you need guide beside that to gain about fact of Nepal, Rural life, culture, traditions and Himalaya you need guide otherwise you just walk and it is kind of your exercise , so hiring a guide or porter is not only your safety and information source there will be your contribution for local economy and helping local people.

Is trekking safe in Nepal?

Yes, Nepal is a safe to travel since 2006 especially because Nepal government and revels sighed for peace agreement than they are in parliaments together which means there is no obstacles either in city or mountains. Even after earthquake it was common questions from all different visitors but now everything is normal and recovered since last year so if you are dreaming to explore the high range Himalaya Please don’t hesitate just book your trip to Nepal.

Is there any Mobile signal or wifi service during the trekking the mountain?

Yes you can get phone signal and service most of the popular trekking such as Everest, Annapurna and Langtang. Since few years you can also use internet service (wifi) in some lodges but need to pay.

What are the essential things to carry during the trek?

Our porter will carry your big bags and your extra weights too what you have to carry is just your personal day bag with bottle of water, fleece jacket, warm hat, gloves, sun cream, some medicine and wind proof jacket and wind proof pant. Generally you have to reduce your extra weight of your bags that you can leave in Kathmandu hotel as you get one porter for two trekkers you are allow to have 12 kg each of it means porters nee to carry 24 kg in total.

What do I need to do if I get mountain sickness?

You suppose to have your insurance in general when you are travelling and especially in the case of high area trekking. We will have some first aid medicine with us and give you some tip too what is best to do when you have sickness but some time might not work so in that case we have to go down and still if you are same and nothing improved we arrange emergency chopper service through your insurance than you will transfer to the hospital where ever closer from the mountain than after an hour you will be fine. We have all well train guide and he knows what should be done when our clients get sick so he will give you useful information and help you you follow him.

What kind of medicine can I take with me?

Generally our guide will take mountain related medicine but beside that you can take with you too because when we have big group you might not be close by from your guide so each trekkers need to carry their first aid medicine with them. Diomax is a common medicine for altitude sickness.
