After Ghandruk trek will lead through the forest of Rhododendron, then to Kyumy. From here you will continue walking up the hill to the beautiful village of Landruk.

The trekking route leads you through remote villages, forests, and farming land up to the Dhampus Village (popular day hiking). You finish the hike in the Phedi, from where we drive back to Pokhara.

When is the best time for the Ghorepani trek and why?

Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is an easy walk throughout the foothills of the Annapurna massif. It is a 2 to 5 days short trek and can be done many months in a year. But the best time is in the Spring season (From March to May). This season you can have very stable weather, dry and clean trails, mild temperature, flowering rhododendron, no risk of wind, rain, and Snow.

The Next is in the autumn season (Sep to end of November), in this Period also you obtain nice weather, but relatively colder than spring and we can’t get the opportunity to observe rhododendron blooming, however, if you are not able to set your holiday during spring than the autumn season is the one for you.

It is a busy trek route that means during the spring & Autumn season will be many people. Thus, if you don’t like to walk through the mass of people, then begging of September, the end of November, likewise starting of march and the end of May would be the best time to skip the crowd.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu (1,300 m/4,264 ft)

Day 05: Trek from Tadapani to Tolka (1850 m).

From here we just have in steep descent strolling through the dim and thick timberland along the little stream.  If you start your day very early you may encounter some wild animals in this area.

The 2 hours serene strolling into the backwoods, we will achieve Beautiful Ghandruk town where we will stop for lunch at that point soak down to the Kyumi then climbing to Landruk which is only inverse of Ghadruk and its wonderful Gurung Village from that point forward, we will have simple level streets strolling to the Tolka village around 1 more hour. Day 06: Trek from the Tolka to Phedi & Pokhara via Deaurali, Pothana, and Dhampus.

How hard is Ghorepani Hill Trek?

The Ghorepani trek is classified as an easy to moderate trek. It is a 4-night 5-day hike in the foothills of the Annapurna region. But if you are short on time, you can be making it within 2 days 3 days too. However, if you are simply fit Ghorepani trek will be easy to complete.

The trails are steep sometimes on stone-made steeps, but that is not for a long time. Most of the trails are natural and throughout the Rhododendron forest, suspension bridges, local villages, and Poon hill (a beautiful sunrise spot).

How much does the Ghorepani trek cost?

The cost of the Ghorepani trek depends, How long you want to trek, need a guide/porters or not, and the standard of accommodation foods. Yet, it is a budget tea house trek in Nepal. If you trek through the travel agency, you will get almost all services including guides, porters, food, accommodation, permits, etc. And cost $490 US.

Next, you can only hire a guide or you can trek by yourself. Hiring a guide costs 25 US a day, 20 US for porter a day. Further, you don’t have to pay for their food, accommodation, etc. All they will manage with that price. There are many signs beyond the trails so, you can trek yourself too.

Can I get a private room?

Yes, the Ghorepani trek is near Pokhara and almost the excess of roads, which means there are quite some tea houses. You can get a private room, food, drinks, Wi-Fi, a place to charge your electric devices, and a hot shower. I think that will be more than enough in the mountain.

If you pre-book your accommodation, you may get rooms inside the bathroom too. Normal rooms without bathrooms inside costs 5 to 7 US and 10 to 15 US for the attached bathroom.

When is the best time to go for the Ghorepani trek?

Ghorepani trek is one of the easiest trails which means any time you can travel. It is a low-altitude trek in the Annapurna region. If you want to witness the spectacular Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri range, and adjoin peaks, then September to November and March to May is the best time. Due to clear Weather, Green lush views, dry trails, mild temperature, no risk of snowfall, or Rain the autumn season (Sept to Oct) and (March to May) are the best.

This trek can be done many months or at any time in a year. Especially, if you prefer to trek in a peaceful trail them, begin and end of Monsoon, similarly beginning and end of Winter.

No, you don’t have to have a guide. There are many signs and people along the trails that you can follow. Having a guide is not compulsory but if you take him you don’t miss any essential information related to the region and country. He takes care of many things such as your accommodation, food, transport, safety, etc. Trekking by yourself is, of course, feel more freedom, but having a guide is advised.
