Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek- Trip Information:

In our new design Everest base camp and fly back from Chopper tour is known as Everest Base Camp Helicopter trek, We start to trek from Lukla and the trip will end in Kathmandu. We will trek all the way up to Everest base camp, Kalapather which is one of the best and popular viewpoints in Nepal.

It is a well-managed trip as it is suitable for all kinds of people because we walkway up to base camp and Kalapather then we will take a helicopter to go back to Kathmandu. It is a great idea too because, on the way back from EBC we have to take just the same, there are no other options so it will be your lifetime achievement in the Himalayas and in the chopper.

Everest Base Camp Helicopter trek is a great combination for trekkers who would love to be very close to the world’s tallest peak (Mount Everest), Khumbu Glacier, Khumbu Icefall, Gokyo valley, and unbelievable landscapes in the Everest region. We will trek for about 8 days, then we will fly in the helicopter back to Kathmandu.

The major highlights are the World’s highest peak will be so close while you are flying, Similarly Khumbu Icefall, Khumbu Glacier, Kalapather viewpoint & Everest Base Camp. Brief Everest helicopter Trek Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu city (1,350m/4,428ft),

Day 02: Early fly to Lukla then trek to Phakding (2651m/8700ft),

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3438m/11,280ft) – About 6 hours walk,

Day 05: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft),

Day 06: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 9km, 5 – 6 hours,

Day 07: Dingboche: acclimatization,

Day 08: Dingboche to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft) – 7km, 5-6 hours walk,

Day 09: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,594 ft): 13km, 6-7 hours,

Day 10: Gorakshep-Kalapather-Gorakshep- Lukla-KTM,

Day 11: Departure day.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu city (1,350m/4,428ft)

When you land at Kathmandu TIA airport, we will be greeted by our airport representative who will get you there with your name at the airport that he will drop to the required hotel in Kathmandu. We let you freshen up and take a rest after that we will meet you again at your hotel and talk about the trip trek and payments.

Day 02: Early fly to Lukla then trek to Phakding (2651m/8700ft)

This morning we will have to wake up early morning to get our flight to Lukla by Twin Otter plane and it is about 8 km air distance to Lukla takes 30 minutes. When we reach Lukla we will meet our rest group members and we start to trek. The trail to Phakding from Lukla is gradually descending through Cheplung, Thadokoshi, and Ghat. It is just 3 hours easy walking, passing many farming lands, Gompa, Sherpa huts, and the house as well as a wonderful view of Khumbila which is a holy mountain in Everest, which has never been climbed. After 3 hours easy walk we reach a wide speared Sherpa village Phadking where we will spend the night.

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3438m/11,280ft) – About 6 hours walk

We take our early breakfast and we will follow the small walking trail along the Dudh Koshi River. The first 2 to 3hours walk we were going to walk gradually up passing some local villages such as Toktok, Banker, Manjo so on then we reach Jorsalle. When we reach Manjo we have to check on our permit than small descends to Jorsalle which is located at the side of the river where we will have lunch than trails climbs up gradually to the highest bridge before we steeply climb to Namche. Today we will walk over the suspension bridge, most of the time after that the walking route will be steep up through the pine forest and reach Namche Bazaar. It is quite big Sherpa village and there are about 50 Lodges. We stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 04: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft):

We begin our trek in the morning after we have breakfast. The first 20-minute walk will be ascending than will be easy walking till Sanasa following the flat, wide road as well as so many snow caps Mountain View. After passing Sanasa the trail will go gradually down through the pine forest than we reach Funky Thanga where we will stop for lunch than the trails climbs steeply up to Tyangbuche. We will walk for about 5 to 6 hours today. It is about 10 km walk on zigzag trails. Overnight at Tyangbuche.

Day 05: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 9km, 5 – 6 hours

We descend and trek through the forest into the green, lush valley and Rhododendron forest. Today our walking rewards us with a spectacular view of Mount. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. When we walk down to Debuche we will follow ijma Khola and trails slightly climb to Pangbuche crossing over the bridge. The view of all the mountains around will be even better and clear after Pangbuche village. The trails still gradually climb into the Ijma valley than we have to cross one small bridge over Pheriche Khola the ultimate climb to Dingboche. Where we will stay overnight. It’s about 9 km and takes about 5 hours.

Day 06: Dingboche: acclimatization

We rest there again at Dingboche after Namche because it is quite high. We will take late breakfast, then we hike up to the Nagarjun Hill for about 2 to 3 hours than the whole day we rest in Dingboche.

Day 07: Dingboche to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft) – 7km, 5-6 hours walk

We begin our walk with a gradual climb of about 2:30 to 3 hours to Dhukla (4645m), which is ending part of the massif Khumbu Glacier. The trail to go to Lobuche will be steeply up from Thukla about an hour to Chupki Lara, where we can see an array of stones, many prayer flags and so many memorials who have sacrificed their lives during the climb. There are few popular memorials such as Scott Fischer (American, great mountaineer) and 10 Time Everest submitter Sherpa Babu Chhiri Sherpa, after That memorial place we continue our journey gradually up but it will so much easier than the climb before. We will follow the Lobuche valley along the bank of small streams coming from Lobuche than we reach Lobuche. Lobuche is a small area that has few lodges and similar accommodation. Overnight at Lobuche.

Day 08: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,594 ft): 13km, 6-7 hours

We start the day early again after we have breakfast in Lobuche. The walking duration will be about 3 hours to reach Gorakshep from Lobuche. The trail will be quite easy at the begging about 1.30 hrs then we have to cross some rocky volcanic zigzag trails than we reach Gorakshep.

At Gorakshep, we will get some lunch and continue following the trail to Everest base camp along the Gorakshep lake and Indian army mountaineers memorial. The walking route after this memorial can be confusing, so it is better to follow your guide. We pass through rocky dunes, zigzag trail, small steam, and old Icy trail before we reach EBC. Upon reaching Ebccolors against the monotony of gray surroundings (especially in the spring). Nuptse, Khumbuste, and Pumori are the mountains we can view from the base camp. We get back to Gorak Shep for a good night’s rest. Overnight in Gorak Shep.

Day 09: Gorakshep-Kalapather-Gorakshep- Lukla-KTM

We start the day very early today because we have to go to the Kalapather viewpoint which is 5545m high and takes about 2 hours from Gorakshep. We will get the finest panorama of the Everest range such as Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Pumori, similarly Khumbutse, Changatste, and many more. After we enjoy the view from that top we go back to Gorakshep again and as we managed our helicopter as per itinerary we will fly to Lukla which is 20 minutes then we will get a Plane from Lukla to Kathmandu same day. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 10: Departure day

This is the last day of your Nepal trip. We will provide a drop service as you told us your flight time from Kathmandu.
